Lisa Thomas-Laury: The iconic news anchor and reporter for Philadelphia’s 6abc Action News has received numerous awards, including an Emmy and the city’s most prestigious accolade, The Liberty Bell Award. She has covered many public figures, from presidents to princes, but the stories she loves to tell the most are those of average people who have overcome major obstacles. Thomas-Laury faced her own significant life challenge when she was struck with a rare nerve disorder, and she has written an inspirational book about her experiences.
